Good news never stop happening these times… and for The Boomzers too !
If you love both rhythmic and violently-lively electro, let me introduce you to the new sound of The Boomzers : They just released “GHOSTPAIN”, the first track from their EP Thunder . And to celebrate the 100 000th download, they made it available for free :
Landed straight from Italy, these two decided to thrill their audiences with talented sounds and remix of electro tenors. Discover them integrally on the links below.
Enjoy….And don’t forget to buy the release on iTunes when it is officially out
The moment we’ve all been waiting for. Daft Punk‘s Random Access Memories album has leaked in full! It was supposed to stream on iTunes today (and probably still will), but why wait when the download is floating all over the internet now. I’ll keep the review till… well after I give it a listen, but for now, enjoy ahead of the May 21st release date. This will be updated/replaced with the iTunes link when that’s live. Album of the decade?
May 9th Update : Partylegacies.com @ Marvellous Island Festival.
Hello everyone,
Marvellous Island (M.I.) opened its doors at 7:00 pm instead of 6, but despite this little late start, we soon forgot this delay to let ourselves be carried away by the original and awesome scenography: 3 stages with completely different moods, a chill out corner, 2 VIP zones, multiples bars and gifts and promotion stands…
Audiofly performing on the Garden stage.
Public atmosphere when Wankelmut was playing on the Garden stage.
A unique context, which enabled everyone to warm-up and the atmosphere quickly got heated and wicked on l’Ile de la Porte Jaune (12th district of Paris).
Garden stage: Light show during Catz’n Dogz live performance.
MAINSTAGE: Light show when Subb-an began his set.
In the broadest room called the MAINSTAGE, the atmosphere just burst when Subb-an started his set. Then everybody went mad when the 10 years celebration of the label Crosstown Rebels. Damian Lazarus followed by Art Department made the audience went upside down !
MAINSTAGE: Damien Lazarus, Crosstown Rebels (C.R.) 10 years.
MAINSTAGE: Flirting with Art Department on the stage, C.R. 10 years.
But the line-up was also amazingly neat on the two other stages:
Among others, Clockwork, Catz’n Dogz, Audiofly and M.A.N.D.Y. all performed incredibly, providing the public sounds evoking newness, summer and escape. In the Jungle room, the curious one vibrated under Andrade vibes, livening things up in this very well thought room. Hottest moment in this very Jungle when Bloody Mary also electrified the audience!
CHILL OUT: In the box with Vincent Giumelli.
JUNGLE ROOM: Ethel & Melody warming up the fest.
Final words will be that Paris finally have a real electro happening, already promised to a second edition next year.. Great moment guaranteed for electro-fiendly Parisians and curious gathered for the occasion !
xx
Adrien.

Ready to teleport to “l’Ile de la Porte Jaune” (Paris 75012) ??
Feb. 11th
Stepping up to its more-established European siblings, Paris had to provide itself with a new festival, bringing together and showcasing the evolving musical trends of the Paris nightscape on an island that is still unknown, hosting 100 performers and thousands of festival-goers. From what we know, the festival will feature different kinds of areas – party-people will be able to dance in the jungle or lounge at the edge of the water – as well as an immersive and rich scenary with many digital facilities (Mapping, 3D visuals, animations).
Next May from the 7th to the 11th is planned one of the hugest talented electro-house gathering Europe wide! Speaking of labels, from Mobilee (Anja Schneider, Pan-Pot) to Circus Company (Nôze, Marc Schneider…), passing by Hot Creations (Jamie Jones, Lee Foss) and its new subsidiary Hot Trax, the place will be loaded with talent and should rival even Berlin, Barcelona and London. Crosstown Rebels, with notably Damien Lazarus and Art Department, is also creating the big happening on the opening day, to celebrate their 10th birthday with the Parisian audience. Also not that Resident Advisor #1 DJSeth Troxler will be playing at Marvellous Island 2013.
Paris seems to respond pretty well to this unique event
The project, launched by Arthur Louvet (director of the agency Vendôme Evenement, owner of, among others, the Culture Hall club and Saint-Germain Theater) seems to meet Parisian demand: already 12000 likes 800 shares on facebook. Despite Louvet’s earlier failures in hosting similar projects in the mid-2000’s, the Parisian electro scene now seems ready to host such an event, not to mention the arrival of the WEATHER festival, scheduled only 10 days later. Set-up by the Parisian after party CONCRETE team (read our post about Concrete), this also might be strong competition for M.I. So which one will you choose? Or will you choose not to (choose) and go both?
Keep checking this post for updates. We will tell you on Monday the exact location where the festival will take place.
5 Edgy tracks from DJs attending Marvellous Island:
Dillon -Thirteen Thirtyfive (Lee Foss & MK Remix)
Deniz Kurtel – Vagabond
Wankelmut & Emma Louise – My Head Is a Jungle
Bot’Ox – Basement Love (Cosmo Vitelli Remix)
Jamie Jones – No Rush
Cannes is one mystical where everything comes and goes. But Villa Schweppes now seems to be a well-establish concept in the Croisette landscape. When many thought it would be a one time thing, as epheral as awesome, they were just about half right. Villa Schweppes comes back once again in 2013 with more outstanding acts, concerts and ideas.
Daytime events
Schweppes will be taking care of its guests better than your mom would from the moment you wake up (as breakfasts will be served) until you go to sleep. A pianist will be keeping you fresh and calm before Cédric Couvez and Naughty J take the reins for the evening enternainment.

Nightlife
When it comes to nightime events, get ready for top-notch live acts as C2C, Yuksek, Joey Starr&co, and La Femme are to be playing there. Partie Fine, Yuksek’s label or Aeropop will also bring their best artists on stage. Also not that the Naive New Beaters‘ concert will be live-streamed so that everyone can enjoy some of the Cannes’ creme de la creme parties.

VIP’s attendees
VIPs are why the Cannes Film Festival is each year so special. 2013 is no exception as Nicole Kidmann, Steven Spielberg, Vidya Balan or Christoph Waltz will be part of the Grand Jury and are very likely to attend after-parties on the Croisette, potentially the most highly-acclaimed ones, Villa Schweppes’ parties. This time around, just like last year, all the Canal+ (French TV channel) crew is expected to be at the Villa, but we will keep you acquainted on the other names.
This weekend has been pretty intense right? Well to end it properly, we thought about sharing therelease called “So weit weg von zu Hause”
